ABOUT

The University of Pittsburgh molds us into the individuals that we will become. It is here that we learn our shared sense of community, hard work, and determination to succeed. In order for you to impact our world, your university must impact you. We want to make an impact on your life.

We’ll do that by making it easier for students to communicate what’s affecting them, allowing us to better represent you. We want to nurture the success of all Pitt students regardless of the great challenges that they may face.  Vote Impact to have an impact!

Ashima Agarwal

My name is Ashima Agarwal and I a sophomore studying Biology and Psychology. My entire platform for running for Student Government Board is rooted in the idea of making Pitt’s  large and diverse campus feel just a bit smaller by connecting students to one another, connecting students to successful Pitt alumni, and connecting students to all the different resources Pitt offers.

Scott Glaser

My name is Scott Glaser and I am a Junior studying Political Science. Over the past year I have been studying affordable housing, and have been appalled by the data that indicates that students living in Oakland pay among the highest rents in the city. In order to combat these overly aggressive landlord policies I hope to create a tenants union. A tenants union would allow students to band together through the University as a buffer to make negotiating prices, and addressing negligent housing conditions more attainable.
